Job Overview:
Drexel is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to support its Promise Neighborhoods Initiatives.

Functions include reporting, performance measurement, database management, grant administration, compliance, meeting scheduling, event planning and disbursements.

This position reports to the Promise Neighborhood Project Director.

Qualifications:
Experienced project coordinator, preferably in a university project, business start-up, nonprofit or education sector setting. Public sector interest and experience a definite plus.

Highly organized, can work independently, is a good problem solver, has strong verbal and written communication skills.

Customer service driven, with excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint) and Google docs. Additional experience with software such as Microsoft Access, SPSS, project management, and website design software a plus.

Experience with tracking expenses and processes in MS Excel or similar software.

Highly organized, can work independently, is a good problem solver, has strong verbal and written communication skills.

Able to attend some evening and Saturday meetings or events.

Interest in the mission, public sector and community work a definite plus.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

A personable, helpful team player.

The maturity to handle social and interpersonal interactions well.

An eagerness and enthusiasm to improve and innovate administrative functions.

Essential Functions:
The Project Coordinator will directly support the functions of the Promise Neighborhoods Director and team, with job duties generally comprising the following tasks:

Scheduling and staffing meetings and events, including planning and logistics, preparing materials, recording and distributing minutes, and supporting administrative follow-up tasks as requested.

Tracking and facilitating multiple project activities involving consultants, partners and contractors.

Developing and maintaining filing and distribution systems, including both electronic and hard material resources.
Supporting community outreach events.

Performing administrative activities such as correspondence, mailings, transcription, data entry, preparation of spreadsheets, reports, manuscripts, and other materials.

Purchasing supplies and other resources, as needed.

Coordinating, maintaining and updating Promise Neighborhood’s robust online data system; creating and inputting survey data.

Collecting and organizing materials for grant applications, progress reports, and other grant related activities, as well as for RFPs, contracts, purchasing and vendor relationships.

Tracking and facilitating multiple project activities involving Promise Neighborhood working groups, partners, and contractors.

Assisting with the creation and maintenance of relevant communications and media, including newsletters, announcements and web pages.

Using online fiscal management software to download information, as needed, to track financial activities.

Update project timeline, invoice payment and reporting schedules.

Handling highly confidential material with accuracy and care, following all necessary rules related to University policy.

Supervising student workers, interns, and/or other staff as required.

Performing special projects and other responsibilities as needed.

Schedule includes some evening and Saturday events.

Other duties as assigned.
