Nonprofit Nerds Philly Meetup — Monday, Jan. 23

The Regional Foundation Center within the Free Library of Philadelphia’s main branch hosts this bimonthly meeting of nonprofits professionals. This month, the group will discuss “how to advocate and thrive as a nonprofit in uncertain times.”

Understanding Taxes for Artists — Wednesday, Jan. 25

Looks like nonprofit leaders aren’t doing their homework: According to a recent study by Alliance for Nonprofit Management, 51 percent of new board chairs said they didn’t undergo any training to prepare for their positions. The Catalyst Center for Nonprofit Management is hosting this training session at Holy Family University for them.
