Strawberry Mansion Learning Center got another high-profile media nod

In late 2016, Strawberry Mansion Learning Center founder Kevin Upshur appeared on Rachel Ray’s talk show. Upshur just made another national television appearance.

This time, a spot on NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt.

America loves Upshur’s story. The learning center was originally a family bar, handed down to him by his mother right before her passing with a single wish: Do something good with the space.

“My favorite part every day is getting here before them kids get out of school and opening that door,” Upshur told NBC. “And when they come in, they know that they can count on this learning center being here. And they could come in and get their work done.”
