Jim Irby

Jim Irby is the social enterprise manager of One Step Away, Philadelphia's street newspaper, which provides a voice and opportunities for individuals experiencing homelessness, joblessness or poverty. He is a graduate of William and Mary and earned his M.A. in environment and community from Antioch University Seattle's Center for Creative Change. As a writer, he enjoys covering issues related to economic, racial, ecological, gender and food justice. In his activism, he works both as a trainer for organizations such as Philly Thrive and a perpetual student around issues of systemic change and social justice.
