The IT Department is responsible for ensuring the technical support of NPT’s software applications and the cyber security of NPT’s data and facilities. The objective of the IT department is the creation and maintenance of a technology environment that improves processes, data security, internal controls and service delivery such that NPT continues to be a leader in the donor advised fund industry. NPT’s software solutions are generally third-party systems; NPT does not currently develop software for use by donors. The department’s activities encompass a wide range of functions.

Summary:
The Cyber Security Analyst will be the technical expert and owner of NPT’s IT Cyber Security program and support all aspects of NPT’s infrastructure and support functions. This role will require independent research, planning and delivery of modern IT solutions that align with current IT best practices.

Primary Functions and Essential Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:
  • Refine and improve Information Security, privacy and compliance goals/objectives.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Identify risks and ensure controls and procedures are in place to mitigate risks.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and ensure they are mitigated based on the associated risk.
  • Evaluate products, services, protocols and standards in support of operations.
  • Lead onboarding of all new tools/applications from a cyber security perspective
  • Evaluate internal business processes for compliance of privacy requirements.
  • Lead the Information Security Awareness program.
  • Lead and administer the Privacy and Compliance program and maintain alignment with the Legal department
  • Manage client and vendor related audits.
  • Manage Information Security vendor evaluations and resulting remediation items
  • Lead security assessment and configuration of current and potential business applications
  • Establish and manage annual risk assessments.
  • Manage and lead remediation of Information Security incidents.
  • Manage all technical aspects of Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity.
  • Perform network penetration testing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or related disciplines.
  • 3-5 Years of experience in an Information Security role.
  • Understand the Information Security landscape with a strong comprehension of a broad range of security technologies.
  • Comprehension of GDPR, CCPA, Data Protection Act, and other existing and emerging legislation.
  • CISSP Certification preferred
  • At least one GIAC Certification
  • CIPP/E Certification preferred
  • Strong written, oral, and listening communication skills.
