Episcopal Community Services is currently accepting proposals for a Community Engagement Specialist, who will be responsible for increasing ECS program enrollment for community based programs. This individual will serve as a liaison at key events in greater Philadelphia, with a focus on Carroll Park/West Philadelphia area to engage and recruit participants.

Episcopal Community Services works to empower individuals and families, so that they can determine and follow their own paths. We focus on offering support through coaching within programs designed to provide opportunities for education, wellness, advocacy and community engagement. Scope of Work and Deliverables
Episcopal Community Services offers programs which support health/wellness, education, career development and self-sufficiency. The programs operate independently under the agency, with unique performance measures and staffing. Each with its own target population, enrollment periods and programming activities.
The specialist will familiarize themselves with each program, using written program materials and meeting with program staff. The community engagement specialist will use program information, as well as input from program leadership to develop and deploy recruitment strategies tailored to meet the agencies recruitment goals. The specialist will identify and participate in opportunities to engage community members and recruit participants.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work within a community setting with diverse populations, including community groups, elected and non-elected policy makers, staff and potential participants. They must also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google docs.

Deliverables
• Itinerary and Strategy for Community Meeting and Event attendance in greater Philadelphia with a focus on Carroll Park/West Philadelphia
• Host a minimum of 6 Information Sessions/Open House events during the contract period in an effort to increase enrollment.
• Firm Contact List of referral sources/partners for ongoing recruitment efforts
• Credible referrals to ECS programming, resulting in increased enrollment

Timeframe and Key Dates
• Enrollment for youth programming will begin in September, followed by Parenting in October and R.I.S.E. in January. Additional programing dates will be identified during the 6 month contract period.

Pricing
This project is budgeted at roughly $10,000 for a 6 month period beginning in October 2021.
