Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Greater Harleysville and North Penn Senior Services (GHNPSS), a nonprofit that operates two Senior Activity Centers located in Lansdale and Harleysville, Montgomery County, PA seeks an experienced, ambitious, and mission-conscious Executive Director to lead our organization. The ED will build on GHNPSS’s foundation of service to the community and lead the organization in developing and providing innovative programs and services for the current and future generations of seniors while maintaining a dynamic and positive work environment for staff members that encourages a team approach in delivering high quality services true to the mission.

The ED will report to a board of directors and will lead efforts to increase GHNPSS’s impact in the communities we serve with a focus on: Management and Governance, Income generation, Fiscal oversight, Programs, Human Resources and Technology. Using the board-approved 2021 Strategic Plan as a roadmap for our future, the Executive Director must also be committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The ED will work closely with the Board to ensure GHNPSS’s fiscal health; oversee effective and efficient operations, develop and implement policies and programs; manage and work with staff to sustain an active presence in the community; manage the two sites as well as our partnership with the North Penn Commons in Lansdale; and stay engaged and informed regarding current developments in the field of aging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizational management and fiscal oversight
  • Fundraising, grants and earned revenue
  • Oversight of programs and services
  • Supervision of staff
  • Relationship with Montgomery County Office of Aging and Adult Services
  • Engagement with Seniors, Community members, Government officials and Businesses
  • Management, development and enhancement of board participation and composition
  • Focus on diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications: Leadership, Fundraising, Community Perspective, Nonprofit Management, Financial oversight, Communications Skills, Understanding of the Aging and Adult Community.

Professional education and experience: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required. An advanced degree and non-profit management experience preferred.

Compensation: GHNPSS is pleased to offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. Paid time off, health benefits, 403b program with match, in a flexible work environment. The salary range is $70,000-$80,000, depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.
