MCC seeks a self-motivated individual to fill an Advocate position within the Safe Start MOMobile program. The Advocate will provide culturally sensitive in-home case management and patient navigation services to medically high risk pregnant women, including assessment, referral, follow-up, monitoring and needed supportive services. In this role, Advocates receive in-depth community health worker and doula training, among other trainings.
Qualified candidates will have experience living in Philadelphia communities served by MCC programs; knowledge of maternal child health or other community health issues; experience providing services in a community setting; and excellent communication skills.
An Associate’s degree is required. A degree in social work, counseling, public health, nursing or a closely related field is a plus. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
