POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager is responsible for executing Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County’s day to day marketing and communications initiatives. This position includes responsibility for two annual fundraising events, social media management, public relations, email marketing and some desktop publishing.

 

REPORTS TO: Director of Development

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ KEY ROLES:

  • Develops and executes marketing and communications initiatives for Habitat NCC in line with Development strategy and ReStore annual marketing plan
  • Research, plans, and implements social media and marketing campaigns to achieve organizational objectives including fundraising, recruitment and promoting ReStore donations and sales
  • Conducts email marketing campaigns ensuring relevant and revenue-generating content is delivered to targeted audiences. (Constant Contact)
  • Creates and designs branded collateral, including but not limited to brochures, flyers, online and print ads, posters, and signage, as directed by Director of Development.
  • Oversees assigned Social Media platforms (ex. Habitat and ReStore Facebook pages, Habitat Instagram, and YouTube) alongside Development staff, leveraging them to increase awareness of Habitat NCC and its ReStores, provide timely customer service, and engage shoppers, donors, volunteers.
  • Collects information on and analyzes the success of marketing mediums, identifying trends, reporting details at weekly Development team meetings
  • Establishes media relationships by pitching stories through written press releases, successfully securing media coverage in television, radio, print, and digital news outlets.
  • Works closely with volunteers and vendors to conduct two fundraising events annually (Fall Golf Outing and Spring Breakfast), agency dedications and groundbreakings
  • Coordinates communication internally to ensure that all relevant departments are informed of marketing objectives, and photos, and content for social media is secured from all departments.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Director of Development

 

  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in marketing or another related field; or equivalent professional experience
  • Five years of successful, measurable marketing experience.
  • Proficiency using Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office products, Experience with Constant Contact, Canva, Hootsuite, Donor perfect, Volunteer hub desirable. High level proficiency with social media platforms (primarily Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube).
  • Excellent communication skills, both listening and speaking, able to present information and converse with donors, volunteers, and peers.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills to process data related to current and potential donors, and volunteers.
  • Customer service mindset in all aspects of job duties.
  • Attention to detail, including strong command of grammar, editing/proofing skills, and ability to write with a consistent voice/style.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Strong creative outlook to generate innovative and engaging ideas.
  • Flexible, collaborative, and adaptable to consistent change.
