The EARTHS is on a mission to educate low-income children, enlighten their families and empower vulnerable communities through fun-filled, educational workshops and interactive training. Formed in 1994, by a small group of adults, who, although raised in the inner city became “successful” and returned to their neighborhood to voluntarily serve as positive role models; its goal has been to address the growing need for underserved youth to replace their idle time with positive, productive experiences (Positive Peer Program).
In serving the youth, a need to educate their parents, caregivers, and family members was identified. PARENT POWER (What Will You Do With Yours?) and The Parent Leaders Advisory Network (PLAN) are two programs created to help better engage families in their children’s learning experiences.
