The Spruce Foundation Announces 2025 Gala
The Spruce Foundation is thrilled to announce the return of Gala! This year, we are proud to recognize our 2024 and 2025 grantees with our Spruce community of volunteers, board members, and supporters. This year’s event will feature music, exciting raffle items, heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and much more to be announced. Suggested attire is elevated cocktail.
100% of ticket proceeds and raffle entries directly support our organization’s mission to fund grants for youth-serving nonprofits and promote local philanthropy in Philadelphia.

ABOUT THE VENUE
Over 250 years, the German Society of Pennsylvania has evolved with the changing needs of German Americans in Philadelphia. This beautiful three-story building was built to house the Society in 1887, and since then, several renovations and improvements have taken place to preserve the beauty and rich history of the premises.
The venue is fully wheelchair-accessible and ADA-compliant.
The fenced-in parking lot holds 25-30 vehicles; plenty of street parking is typically available in the evening.
2025 Grant Applications Are Open
The Spruce Foundation is excited to announce the launch of this year’s grant application! As we continue our grant-making mission, we invite local youth-serving nonprofits to apply. Generally, applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible:
✔️ Be a nonprofit that serves Philadelphia youth (not necessarily headquartered in Philadelphia County)
✔️ Serve individuals aged 21 and younger
✔️ Have an operating budget below $800,000
