Free Library is Offering Help with the Affordable Care Act

The Free Library of Philadelphia, a Certified Application Counselor (CAC), has over 30 trained staff to provide assistance to people signing up for a health insurance online, via phone, or with a paper application through the current enrollment period ending March 31st.

The Free Library is encouraging people to visit their local library branch to apply via Healthcare.gov since it gives customers immediate results about their health insurance options, along with potential tax credits and/or low-cost benefits available.

In addition, the Central Library (1901 Vine Street) will be offering open hours from 10am to 2pm in their tech lab on select Mondays and Fridays until March 31. Certified Application Counselors will be available during these hours on a first-come, first-served basis. View the full list of upcoming workshops here.
