Kevin Dow was hired as Senior Vice President of Impact and Innovation the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey – one of the region’s largest public charities and volunteer organizers.

Dow was formerly the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Deputy Commerce Director for the City of Philadelphia’s Commerce Department. In this role, he built relationships with other economic development agencies, elected officials and community stakeholders. He also served on the board of Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia.

At United Way, Dow will help shape initiatives to address the organization’s main issue-areas: education, health and income. Finding projects to fund through United Way’s Impact Fund is a central part of this task.

“My time with the City, making Philadelphia a better place and creating opportunities for communities to thrive – improving education, commerce and quality of life – has been the beacon of my career; it is a true blessing, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue improving lives in this region with United Way, an organization that is so closely aligned with my values,” said Kevin Dow in a press release.
