Event: Generosity Run (Not us) Series Information Session

Generosity Philadelphia August 8, 2014 Category: FundingUncategorized

GENerosityPhillyOrganizing a 5k run or walk can take a lot of work: so The Generosity Series created a way for organizations to run their own 5K run/walk fundraiser without any of the administrative headache.

Generosity (which has no connection to Generocity.org but clearly some similar ideas) is a nationwide series of 5K events that serve as a fundraising platform for charities.

The Generosity Series does all of the heavy lifting necessary to run the 5K — from registration to supplying medals and awards. All donations go directly to the organizations, which only need to secure 13 participants to break even.

The Generosity Series also provides the 5K participants, who only need to raise $200 each, with a webpage, sample e-mails, fundraising tips, etc.

The Generosity Series and Here’s My Chance (a local creative agency which provides communications, training and design services for nonprofits and social enterprises) will hold three information sessions on August 13 at Impact Hub to provide organization staff and others interested in peer-to-peer fundraising strategies with all the information they need to fund raise as a charity partner for the race to be held on November 16 in Fairmount Park.

When: August 13, 2014
Where: Impact Hub Philly, 1227 N. 4th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107
