Looking to have a more active and effective role in shaping the future of your community and the City of Philadelphia? Apply to the Citizens Planning Institute, the education and outreach arm of the Philadelphia City Planning Commission, by September 25.

The courses will run on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. from October 8 – November 19. Participants must complete three core classes and at least two of three electives of the following:

In addition, participants have the option to complete a project and present it as a workshop on November 19. This serves as a way to get feedback from the group on a project your organization is working on, or a hypothetical project. Participants also have the option of submitting their course project in writing instead of giving a presentation.

Learn about what previous graduates have gone on to use their skills here, and read Generocity.org’s Director of Operations Strategy Mo Manklang’s recap of the Fall 2013 workshop here.
