Impact100 Philadelphia Opens its 2015 Grantmaking Process
October 16, 2014 Category: Funding, UncategorizedImpact100 Philadelphia, the all-volunteer women’s giving circle that awarded $328,000 to local nonprofits in June, is preparing to begin its 2015 grantmaking.
“At this point, we’re fielding questions about the process,” said Emily V. Biscardi, a co-chair of Impact100’s grants committee. “We’re always interested in bringing in new organizations.”
Last year’s awardees receiving $100,000 project-based grants included ArtWell, Neighborhood Bike Works, and Friends of Farmworkers.
HIAS Pennsylvania and Women’s Therapy Center received $14,000 each in general operating support.
Impact100 seeks small to mid-sized nonprofit applicants who are at least three years old, have budgets between $300,000 and $5 million, and whose new or existing projects fit into one of five focus areas — arts & culture, education, environment, family, or health & wellness. Organizations must also be located in and serve residents of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery or Philadelphia counties.
An information session planned for later this month is filled to capacity, according to Biscardi, but all relevant materials will be available on Impact100’s website by Wednesday, October 29.
“It’s a great place for people to go for more information,” she said. Potential applicants may also email grants@impact100philly.org. The online letter of inquiry process opens on December 1; submissions are due by January 5, 2015.
