Dan O’Brien is the Central Division coordinator at the PhillyRising Collaborative, which is part of the City of Philadelphia’s Managing Director Office. PhillyRising targets neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia that are plagued by chronic crime and quality of life concerns and then establishes partnerships with community members to address these issues. O’Brien spoke about how his work is focused around the neighborhoods of Strawberry Mansion, Brewerytown, North Central, Pennrose, and Market East.
