Finding City Government Information Just Got Easier

May 20, 2015 Category: Purpose

Looking for information about the City government? It just got easier with a new addition to the Philly311 app: a self-service knowledge base.

The Philly311 app is the City of Philadelphia government’s centralized non-emergency Contact Center that is accessible to all residents, businesses and visitors. The app offers translations in 16 of the most popular languages spoken in Philadelphia.

The new knowledge base makes it easy for you to search general information and frequently asked questions related to municipal services, 24 hours a day. Users can access the knowledge base through the Philly311 website at phila.gov/311 or by using the “Find an Answer” widget on the free Philly311 Mobile App.

Some of the app’s new features:

  • Most searched articles.
  • Keyword searching.
  • Filter by city department or government topic.
  • Provide Feedback on the app.
  • Share Articles via email and social media.
  • Get Updates on articles you are most interested in and you will be notified any time the article is updated.

Visit phila.gov/311 or the 311 app on your phone to check out the new widget.
