NeighborWorks America Brings Community Development and Affordable Housing Workshops to Philly

July 16, 2015 Category: Purpose

NeighborWorks America is bringing its community development and affordable housing trainings to Philadelphia over a five day period from August 17-21 for its Philadelphia NeighborWorks Training Institute.

The NeighborWorks Training Institute (NTI) is a five-day “mobile university,” held four times each year in major U.S. cities. In 2014, the organization trained people from 3,000 organizations at NTI events – including professionals who work in organizations that are both large and small; nonprofit, for-profit and governmental; inner-city and rural.

The main symposium at the Philadelphia NTI is Building Pathways to Financial Resilience (HO925) on August 19 and will cover how financial resilience impact housing, health and education. Several other courses are offered in affordable housing, asset management, community economic development, community engagement Financial Capability, Housing Education and Counseling, and nonprofit leadership and management.

Neighborhood Training’s NTI Minutes, one-minute highlight videos, can give you a taste of what it has to offer in the fields of affordable housing development, nonprofit sustainability and excellence, asset management and revitalization-related place audits.

A full list of available courses and trainings (as well as more information) is available on on Neighborhood Training America’s website.
