Just how easy is it for people to lead sustainable lifestyles?

Charlotte Lee. June 16, 2016 Category: ColumnPeopleShort

Around the Corner” is a PhillyCAM show that offers local social impact leaders the opportunity to share what impact their work is having on the Philadelphia area.

MilkCrate’s goal is to help people realize how easy it is to live sustainably.

The social enterprise’s app, My MilkCrate, connects individual users to green-leaning businesses in their immediate geographical area so they can make more sustainable, local decisions when shopping or using services — it’s about “identifying small decisions they can make adding up to really big change,” according to Director of Operations Charlotte Lee.

In her Around the Corner interview, Lee talks with Generocity Community Manager Mo Manklang about MilkCrate’s new technology, Milkcrate for Communities, which encourages companies, universities and other groups to participate in sustainable initiatives (which can include, deliciously, eating out at a farm-to-table restaurant) and receive rewards in turn.

(Psst — MilkCrate just launched a new website, too. Looks real fresh.)

PhillyCAM is Comcast channel 66/966HD/967 and Verizon FIOS channel 29/30 in Philadelphia.
