“Around the Corner” is a PhillyCAM show that offers local social impact leaders the opportunity to share what impact their work is having on the Philadelphia area.
What the Office of Innovation and Technology’s (OIT) innovation management team does is “try to put some sort of structure around the process of innovation” both within city government and Philadelphia’s general population, says manager Andrew Buss.
Wait. What’s “innovation” again?
When I asked Buss and Eliza Erickson, OIT’s program manager, how they define the word, they said, “Innovation means trying something new, learning from the experience, evolving the idea, and continuing the cycle so you’re always improving.”
In his “Around the Corner” interview with Generocity Editor Julie Zeglen, Buss expands on that by describing how the city applies the concept of innovation to capacity building and new digital initiatives.
PhillyCAM is Comcast channel 66/966 HD/967 and Verizon FIOS channel 29/30 in Philadelphia.
