Here’s what went down at B Corp’s big street festival on Penn’s campus

B Inspired relocated from North Carolina to Philly in protest of HB2. October 27, 2016 Category: PurposeShort
B Lab brought a boatload of B Corps to Philly last week for a big business bash called B Inspired.

While the annual retreat is more or less a three-day networking conference and street festival for hundreds of B Corp leaders from across the world, this year was a little different: B Lab, the Wayne-based nonprofit that certifies businesses as B Corps, moved the retreat to Philadelphia (Penn’s campus, specifically) from North Carolina this year when that state passed HB2 and effectively banned transgender individuals from using public bathrooms of their choice.

Philadelphia was chosen because of the city’s progressive steps toward inclusivity. It just so happens Philadelphia is also hoping to become the B Corp Capital of the World (one of many “hubs” we’re hoping to become).

Besides networking, there were also a buncha presentations about using business to “move us toward an inclusive economy.” But we weren’t there, so here are some Twitter highlights B Corporation curated in a Storify post. (Click the blue Storify logo below to see every tweet.)
