The Daily Pennsylvanian is looking for a director of development. The 135 year-old award-winning independent student-run news organization serving the University of Pennsylvania community is seeking an energetic individual to support the future of student journalism at Penn by raising money to sustain and grow the venerable organization.

The director of development will work with students and alumni in this newly-created position designed to enhance engagement and increase philanthropic support primarily from alumni, as well as parents, friends, foundations and corporations.

Verified Voting is looking for a program director. The organization, founded by computer scientists in 2004, is a leading national nonprofit, non-partisan organization whose mission is to strengthen democracy for all voters by promoting the responsible use of technology in elections.

Verified Voting seeks an experienced fulltime program director to supervise the delivery and overall success of 15 to 20 programs supporting a national effort promoting widespread adoption of election security best practices. The position manages a seven to nine member team of staff and consultants, and implements program strategy on issues drawn directly from today’s headlines.

The program director will also will manage activities for both the (c)(3) (Verified Voting Foundation) and separately for the (c)(4) (VerifiedVoting.org) arms of the organization.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence  has two positions to fill. The advancement specialist reports to the VP, Advancement and provides support to the VP, Advancement and Advancement team.  They are responsible for managing the donor database, research and functionality to ensure the continued success and growth of the BBBSI’s fundraising efforts. It also has an opening for a research assistant (part-time). This position provides research support that informs the recommendations Fairmount’s consulting teams develop for clients. Community Legal Services, Inc. of Philadelphia, a non-profit public interest agency providing free civil legal services to low-income Philadelphia residents, has three positions to fill. There are two openings for aging & disabilities unit paralegals, one bilingual (strong preference for English/Spanish). The aging and disabilities unit helps low income older adults (ages 60+) and younger people with disabilities to get public benefits that provide essential income and health coverage, including Medicaid, Medicare services and SSI. Paralegals in this unit carry their own caseloads with a significant volume of cases under the close supervision of an attorney.

The third opening is for a staff attorney for the homeownership & consumer rights unit. This position includes policy advocacy, education and outreach, and litigation on behalf of individual taxpayers facing the loss of their home due to delinquent property taxes.

The ideal candidate will manage and support all aspects of the sales cycle for WURD Radio, LLC. They will manage the sales pipeline and drive revenue through consultative media and solution-based sales via the WURD multi-media platforms (spot, non-spot and digital).
