Technically Media has two job openings! Technically Media is a different kind of media company. We drive results for our clients and impact for our community. We publish Technical.ly and Generocity.org, and produce the annual technology, entrepreneurship and innovation event series Philly Tech Week.

The first position we are seeking to fill is for a marketing and partnerships managerWe’re looking for an enthusiastic ally with a primary focus on Philly Tech Week, with an opportunity to support our Philadelphia nonprofit news site Generocity. You’ll be part of our Philadelphia Initiatives team, making connections in our hometown city.

From May 1-9, 2020, we’re hosting our 10th annual Philly Tech Week. We need someone to maintain and expand our deep relationships to drive reach and impact. You’ll oversee and shape our marketing strategy, manage contractors and own a portfolio of in-kind relationships to help us support our goals. After PTW20, we’ll begin early plans for 2021.

Additionally, you’ll support a limited scope of partners and clients for Generocity.org. Generocity is a beloved publication dedicated to helping nonprofit professionals navigate their careers in Philadelphia.

On behalf of both Philly Tech Week and Generocity.org, you’ll leverage our CRM Hubspot and manage several contractors, including a third-party firm that manages the PhillyTechWeek.com website and a contract web developer which supports Generocity.org.

The second opening is a marketing analyst to manage the data reporting and analysis for all Technical.ly experiences, including in-person events, our talent platform and services, custom creative for clients and overall editorial.

The Marketing Analyst will be focused on using data analysis to evaluate how well the product & mMarketing team is serving our clients as well as how well our newsroom is engaging our audience. This role reports to the senior marketing manager and works alongside of our editorial and client services teams. Working hand-in-hand with the team to recommend improvements in the development, marketing and execution of our websites, social channels and newsletters, we depend on this role to enable us to make smart, data-driven decisions.

The Education Law Center —PA has an opening for an administrative assistant. The statewide nonprofit legal advocacy organization that has played a leading role on key issues of educational equity and civil rights since 1975 is looking for a detail-oriented individual who has a demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment, and can be comfortable working both collaboratively and independently. MS Office skills, including MS Word and MS Excel, database management, excellent organizational skills, and positive outlook are required.

Verified Voting, a leading national not-for-profit, non-partisan organization whose mission is to strengthen democracy for all voters by promoting the responsible use of technology in elections, has three open positions.

In partnership with the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the organization is conducting a research project to examine the impact of the types of voting equipment, polling place technologies on marginalized communities specifically previously designated states under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act. The data analyst consultant position the organization hopes to fill calls for someone who is detail-oriented, proficient in analyzing large volumes of public data, report writing, and possessing strong project and time management skills. The project is expected to last six months and produce an interim summary of findings, data analysis and a final report. At the conclusion of the project, Verified Voting will evaluate for engagement in potential full time data analyst position.

A critical component of election security is the ability to determine whether the computers that counted the votes counted them correctly. To do that, jurisdictions must have a system that incorporates voter-marked paper ballots that are retained for recounts and audits. After the election, the paper ballots must be checked against the computer-reported results via rigorous statistically sound audit, called a risk-limiting audit. Verified Voting is working with elections officials to pilot risk-limiting audits in as many jurisdictions as possible before 2020. The audit specialist will report directly to the director of science and technology policy and assist in the design, development, implementation and reporting of audit pilots in a variety of jurisdictions, and will be able to contribute to the formulation of state and local audit policy.

Finally, Verified Voting is also looking for an experienced fulltime program director to supervise the delivery and overall success of 15-20 programs supporting a national effort promoting widespread adoption of election security best practices. This position manages a 7-9 member team of staff and consultants and implements program strategy on issues drawn directly from today’s headlines. the program director will manage activities for both the (c)(3) (Verified Voting Foundation) and separately for the (c)(4) (VerifiedVoting.org) arms of the organization.

Philadelphia VIP — which recruits, trains, and supports volunteer attorneys who provide free legal services to low-income clients — is looking to fill the position of supervising attorney. Reporting to the Managing Attorney and serving on the Management Team, the Supervising Attorney supervises team members and supports volunteer attorneys and low-income clients facing critical legal problems in a range of areas of civil law and procedure, including but not limited to family law, homeownership, and torts, with a particular emphasis on debt collection and guardianship matters.

The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia has an opening for a member engagement coordinator. The organization is seeking a highly organized individual with strong communications skills to manage assigned Chamber membership accounts, grow member relationships, solicit and coordinate the execution of sponsorships, support members’ use of marketing resources and opportunities with the ultimate goal of retaining memberships.

The National Liberty Museum is looking for a manager of development. Reporting to and in partnership with the chief development officer, the individual who fills this position will aid in the design and implementation of the National Liberty Museum’s annual fundraising plan. This role necessitates working closely with other NLM departments. The manager of development will work closely with the finance department and development team to administer the museum’s annual development program and actively participate in all fundraising activities.

Independence Public Media has two openings. The foundation, which supports media and media making as an essential path for improving people’s lives and building just and equitable communities across the Greater Philadelphia region, is looking for a communications and events manager. The ideal candidate will spotlight and support the work of the foundation’s grantees and partners, focusing on collaboration, community accessibility, and responsiveness. The individual must be flexible, easily adapting to new and changing situations. They’ll report to the president, working to further define and advance the broad strategic goals set by the board.

The office and grants manager will create and maintain structure and processes for grants and all administrative functions with creativity, team collaboration, and, above all, a focus on community accessibility and responsiveness. The individual who fills this position must be flexible, easily adapting to new and changing situations. The foundation operates from a temporary WeWork office in Center City and is currently seeking permanent office space in Philadelphia. There may be some opportunity for remote work.
