Howard Pinder joined Drexel in January 2019 as the Assistant Director of Workforce & Economic Inclusion. In his role, he supports the advancement of workforce development and adult education strategy and programming. Before coming to Drexel, Howard worked as the Assistant Director of the Philadelphia Furniture Bank from 2015. While there, he started a transitional employment program that hired people who had experienced homelessness and incarceration. He currently serves on the Board of the Philadelphia Adult Literacy Alliance. Howard worked as a hospital chaplain during his residency at Einstein Healthcare Network after gaining his graduate degree at Palmer Theological Seminary. Howard has lived in Philadelphia since 2002 when he attended Temple University. He currently lives in the Point Breeze neighborhood of South Philadelphia with his wife and their young sons.
