Mary Broach

Mary Broach began her career as an investment banking analyst before moving to the nonprofit sector, where she has worked more than 25 years as a development director, managing director, communications specialist and organizational consultant. Since 2009, Mary has been a consultant with The New Group Consulting for clients in the technology, education, and health care sectors. She has conducted benchmarking and self-assessment studies, and led strategic initiatives related to board development, organizational restructurings, and data management and analysis. In 2008, Mary co-founded Impact100 Philadelphia, a women’s collective giving organization that awards $100,000 grants to organizations in the Philadelphia region, and to date has raised more than $3 million. Together with her Impact100 co-founder Beth Dahle, she was awarded PathwaysPA’s 2009 Trailblazer Award and was named the 2010 New Generation Philanthropist of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Philadelphia Chapter. Mary served on the Steering Committee and managed all communications for the October 2018 “We The Women” national conference of the Women’s Collective Giving Network (now known as Catalist). In 2016, she launched a new giving circle, New Colossus Donors, focused on supporting American democratic values and designed to be a replicable model. Mary holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University.
