Nick Ashburn

Nick Ashburn is the Senior Director of Impact Investing at the Wharton Social Impact Initiative, where he leads WSII's work across thematic areas and geographies. Nick has led projects with major foundations, government agencies, and large financial institutions on a range of projects, including innovative finance for the Sustainable Development Goals, research on impact investing in public and private markets, and investing in early-stage impact venture capital with Wharton Impact Investing Partners. Nick has taught in the School of Social Policy & Practice at the University of Pennsylvania and at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas-Austin. He holds a master’s degree from Penn and is also fluent in German. Fun fact: Nick co-hosts "Dollars & Change" on SiriusXM Channel 111 — Business Radio powered by the Wharton School — a show dedicated to the intersection of business and finance for social impact.
