Southern Chester County Opportunity Network's work is based on the Bridges Out of Poverty model — a framework for understanding poverty that brings professionals and communities together to work on solutions.

Chester County is one of the six counties that comprise the region with the greatest number of school-age homeless children. Our storymap gives you a closer look at the numbers in specific school districts in Chesco, Bucks, Delco and Montco.

Even if you don’t buy into the stereotypes, you might be forgiven for wondering what need could there possibly be for social impact organizations to work in the four wealthiest counties in the state. As it happens, there is plenty of need.
