Tech in the Commons

Biography

Tech in the Commons is a reporting and event series to familiarize place-based nonprofits with trending technologies, organized by Generocity.

This project is produced annually by Generocity. It was supported by the Knight Foundation in 2017 and 2018; and since 2018 has been supported by Comcast NBCUniversal.

The series’ goal is to help place-based nonprofits better understand how to leverage new technologies for the sake of improving engagement with their communities.

The first of the events scheduled for 2020  Tech in the Commons: Podcasting 101 for Nonprofits took place April 2 via Zoom and was led by founder of Messy.fm, Molly Beck. Forty-three staff members from nonprofits across the sector were in attendance. You can watch the presentation in full here.
