New Horizons’ “Virtual Senior Center” is a fully remote Center for active adults, providing a robust array of FREE programs and services via telephone and Zoom web video conferencing, plus integrated services to physically address food insecurity.
The mission of New Horizons is to provide supportive programs and services that enable older adults to live independently in their own homes, form meaningful connections with others, and engage in lifelong learning. The virtual services we provide issue directly from this mission to help seniors to age in place. Our Center’s wide-ranging programming fits into several broad categories: Health and Fitness; Recreation & Socialization; Educational Programs; and Supportive Services, including meal delivery and shopping assistance options.
New Horizons’ “Virtual Senior Center” currently provides 24 Virtual Events and 17 ongoing Services, putting it in the top tier for virtual services in suburban county senior centers.
