The Philadelphia Citizens Planning Institute hosted its first alumni meeting this month, giving alumni, current students, and presentors a chance to meet and network.

Philly Give & Get hosted its Design Edition “maker” auction, raising $9,374.29 for the Philadelphia Wooden Boat Factory.

PhillyRising Collaborative hosted its 2014 conference at Temple, giving participants the chance to meet one-on-one with representatives from city agencies to address problems, ask questions, and submit service requests.

Lt. Governor Jim Cawley announced at press conference in October that the state of Pennsylvania will also contribute a $3.7 million grant to the Eastern Tower Community Center. A fundraiser was also held earlier in the month to raise money for the project.
