The purpose is to “share practical ideas for raising more money, cool initiatives that we can learn from around Philadelphia, the U.S. and the world as well as fundraising insights from influencers, rising Gen Y leaders and funders in the Greater Philadelphia nonprofit community,” said Reggie Hall, marketing and communications manager at Fairmount Ventures in an email.

The February newsletter contains some inside information on Fairmount Venture’s role in developing a plan for the West Philadelphia “Promise Zone,” which was designated by the Obama Administration at the beginning of the year.

The March edition will include an interview with the United Way’s Kevin Dow, 5 questions with the Philadelphia Foundation, and solutions to finding new donors.
