Speed Consulting night aims to give instant answers to key nonprofit issues

July 27, 2015 Category: MethodPeople

Two local organizations are teaming up for a night of something much more useful than speed dating — speed consulting.

There are tons of issues that nonprofit leaders (and even for-profit leaders) face on a daily basis. This event is aimed at clearning up nagging issues that could be solved and greatly helped with a quick conversation.

Speed Consulting is a collaboration of The Nonprofit Center at La Salle University’s School of Business and the Regional Foundation Center at the Free Library of Philadelphia, and will offer an opportunity for free, instant consulting on some key issues.

On Wednesday, October 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Nonprofit Center staff and consultants will be available in the Skyline Room at 1901 Vine Street, 4th floor Philadelphia, providing a series of free 20-minute consultations to nonprofit professionals who have been pre-approved via a simple application process.

Staff and board member applicants can apply online for consulting time addressing one of the following topics:

  • Governance
  • Strategic Planning
  • Leadership
  • Boards
  • Executive Transitions (Succession Planning, Interim Executive Directorships)
  • Fundraising
  • Evaluation
  • Human Resources
  • Marketing/Communications
  • Finance

In addition, staff from The Regional Foundation Center and The Nonprofit Center will be on hand to discuss their services and professional development opportunities.

Applications should be completed by August 24th to Stean Wilborn, wilborn@lasalle.edu. If chosen, you’ll be set up with a specific appointment time.

Tip: If you have multiple questions about different areas, you can request up to 3 consultations.
