LEADERSHIP Philadelphia is seeking Collaborative nonprofits through Sept 1
August 14, 2015 Category: PurposeThe LEADERSHIP Collaborative is open for applications for its 2015-2016 session until September 1.
The LEADERSHIP Collaborative program, which starts in mid-September, works with nonprofits in the Greater Philadelphia area to recruit qualified board members and volunteers from its alumni network. In addition, it also works to increase connections and visibility for nonprofits within the community.
In coordination with the LEADERSHIP Collaborative, LEADERSHIP Philadelphia also runs a leadership development and civic engagement program for 120 professionals in the region called the Core Class. Leaders in the program receive leadership training, trusteeship training, and an education on the issues and programs in Philadelphia. Then, the participants are matched to Collaborative organizations seeking board members.
Collaborative members will have the opportunity to meet with the participants and promote their organizations throughout the program, including observing Collaborative member board meetings throughout the year and an Agency Fair in January.
The LEADERSHIP team tracks the interest, communications, and progress of all participants and alumni interested in board membership, in order to address specific needs of a board and to find participants who complement those needs.
