 THE ORG: Philadelphia Futures

THE MISSION: to helps “low-income, first-generation-to-college students as they make the journey to and through college”

THE JOB: Director of College Retention and Success (Full-time)

Philadelphia Futures has 25 years of experience getting Philly kids prepared and excited for college. But there’s a special set of challenges for students who are the first in their families to go. This role supports those who have made it through the high school program and are enrolled in college to ensure they can navigate the next four years.


THE ORG: DataArts (Cultural Data Project)

THE MISSION: “to empower the nonprofit arts and cultural sector with high-quality data and resources in order to strengthen its vitality, performance, and public impact”

THE JOB: Community Engagement Manager

Cultural Data Project recently transitioned to expand its services and enhance its technology under a new name, DataArts. And newness begets more newness: This new position is responsible for facilitating peer-to-peer learning in the DataArts community and developing a national council of members.

THE JOB: City Harvest Seasonal Project Coordinator (Seasonal)

THE ORG: Keystone Energy Efficiency Alliance

THE MISSION: to “advocate on behalf of energy efficiency and renewable energy professionals on the local, state, and federal levels”

THE JOB: Executive Director (full-time)

Energy efficiency is essential to the sustainability of our region. Lead this nonprofit in promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy industries in PA, and advocate for the state’s buildings to become more energy efficient by supporting the KEEA Energy Education Fund.


THE ORG: Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger

THE MISSION: “to build a community where all people have the food they need to lead healthy lives”

THE JOB: Food Literacy and Access VISTA and Food Pantry Network Associate VISTA (full-time, temporary)

Both positions are year-long and only pay a stipend, but they could be onboarding to working in the emergency food supply system while supporting food security for all Philadelphians.


THE ORG: Delaware Historical Society

THE MISSION: “to serve as the statewide, non-profit organization that preserves, explores, shares and promotes Delaware history, heritage and culture to strengthen our community”

THE JOB: Head of the Center for African American Heritage and Diversity Programs

Not quite Philly — but close! You’ll need a master’s degree in African American studies, U.S. history, museum studies or museum education to develop the programming for this cultural institution.


THE ORG: JEVS Human Services

THE MISSION: to “enhance the employability, independence, and quality of life of individuals through a broad range of programs”

THE JOB: Job Developer (full-time)

JEVS helps disadvantaged folks find jobs. This position is the driving, on-the-ground force behind that.


THE ORG: South Kensington Community Partners

THE MISSION: “to connect our community to resources, services, and opportunities, the land, and each other”

THE JOB: Executive Director (full-time)

The area from Girard Avenue to Berks Street and Front Street to N. 6th Street is one that’s seen a hell of a lot of change in the past decade or so. The SKCP director is responsible for bridging community gaps while supporting residents with a strategic plan.
