My research interests are mainly in the area of theoretical and empirical corporate finance, with particular emphasis on executive and non-executive compensation and financial contracting. At ASU, I teach courses in Advanced Managerial Finance at the undergraduate level as well as a doctoral class in Corporate Finance Theory. I have also taught a doctoral class in Empirical Corporate Finance.
Guest columnist Ilona Babenko's research found that after New York passed legislation to prohibit nonprofit officers from being present at meetings where their pay is being discussed, compensation was 2%-3% lower than expected.
