From trainings on bystander intervention and apology labs to upcoming sessions focused on cooking and books, this month's events equip men and masculine-identified individuals to reduce harm and build community.

But racial diversity remains "dire," according to the latest update of 2019 census of board members of the 50 largest nonprofit medical and educational institutions in Greater Philadelphia by the Women's Nonprofit Leadership Initiative.

“Temptation is a magical word. It can transform wrongdoers into victims, and predators into prey, all without the knowledge, consent, or participation of the object of desire," say guest columnists Lila Slovak and Monique Howard.

Gender Justice Fund will focus on eradicating all forms of gender-based oppression through trust-based philanthropy, systems change, culture change, and movement building.

The few tools that previously existed tend to measure overt gender bias like harassment, rather than the subtle ones that are so pervasive, says guest columnist Amber Stephenson.

"Increasing Gender Diversity on the Boards of Nonprofit Eds and Meds: Why and How to Do It," released March 10, is based on in-depth, confidential interviews with ed and med board members, and institutional leaders.

Community organizations and LGBTQ-serving nonprofits have an opportunity to educate on the benefits of participation in Census 2020 despite omission of a specific question about sexual orientation and gender identity.
