Hello, did you know that today is the last day to register to vote in Pa. before the fall election?

VOTE. October 9, 2018 Category: FeaturedPurposeShort
Pennsylvania is voting for a governor, lieutenant governor, one senator and more on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

The last day to register before this election is Tuesday, Oct. 9. That’s today.

As of the 2016 presidential election, there were about 2.3 million people in the state who were eligible to vote and didn’t even register.

If you’re (still) one of them, do yourself a favor and watch “Picture This: Voting,” a quick primer on the voting process from Generocity columnist Akeem Dixon and WHYY.

“We’re gonna learn how to get more involved in this voting process so that you can take some power back over your community and over your country,” Dixon says over the sounds of a Fishtown voter registration drive, “and it all starts here by getting signed up, learning how to use the machine and use the process.”

And then, obviously, register to vote. Here are a few reasons why.
